An Overview about Google Surveys

Google Survey is a market-research tool that gathers data from survey questions. Internet users answer survey questions in order to access high-quality content around the web. In turn, content publishers get paid as their users answer. Google then aggregates and analyse responses through a simple online interface.

It helps us in getting a quick, cost effective method in order to get some insights of what the consumer thinks. By gathering the insights from the surveys, we will be able to make faster and smarter business decisions. It has the power to make decisions in a smarter way and thereby reducing the risk.

Ex: To get the demographics of the respondents:

Demographic information is collected and inferred based on a respondent’s browsing history. The algorithm is the same method Google uses for advertising targeting and uses signals to determine demographics such as gender and age.

Data Accuracy

The Google Surveys team partners closely with research scientists and statisticians to develop a methodology. Then they validate the results against outside data, such as government-issued statistics, and results are as accurate or more accurate than other online platforms. Read the whitepaper to learn more or see the analysis done by the Pew Research Center.

My Insights on Google Surveys

Its interesting to know what consumer research and I really wanted to understand not just “what” people buy but really the “why” behind it and its also interesting to see there are lots of tools to dig into that question of why people make the decisions they do. Because, I feel its important to stay close to your customers as they really are making decisions that impact ones business everyday and if I don’t keep up with what the customers are feeling, what’s important to them, then there is a risk of losing them out.

I am sure this tool can help me with my Travel blog in getting real time survey results which I feel can be implemented for making fast decisions about my customers desire for travel destinations and their expectations.

I wanted to make sure that the customer voice is front and center which when collaborated with other data which can help me in making really good holistic business decisions.
